As a Digital Media Buyer, you’ll be instrumental in driving business growth by launching and scaling high-performing paid media campaigns that directly contribute to revenue and customer acquisition. Your ability to analyze performance, collaborate with creative and affiliate teams, and optimize campaigns will ensure strong ROAS and measurable results.
Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and performance-driven Digital Media Buyer with a strong background in consumer products to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and optimize advertising across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and other digital platforms. Your prior experience in consumer-facing products will be vital in launching data-driven campaigns that resonate with audiences and scale profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Buying Planning and Strategy: Partner with senior stakeholders to shape media buying strategies, including bidding methods (e.g., bid cap vs. cost cap) and budget allocation. Plan, launch, and manage paid ad campaigns across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook with a focus on ROAS, customer acquisition, and product-market fit for consumer goods.
- Campaign Execution: Own the media buying process end-to-end, including targeting, budget allocation, bidding strategies, and ad scheduling. Coordinate campaign launches, ensuring ads are placed correctly and run as scheduled. Conduct A/B and multivariate testing on creatives, copy, and audiences especially for product-based offers to identify top performers.
- Negotiation and Purchasing: Negotiate with media vendors to secure advertising space or time at optimal rates, ensuring cost-effective placements that align with consumer marketing goals.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze and track campaign performance using metrics such as reach, impressions, click-through rates, and conversions. Produce weekly reports and share insights and learnings with the team, particularly as they relate to product engagement and purchase behavior.
- Budget Management: Manage advertising budgets to ensure spending aligns with campaign goals and delivers a strong return on investment (ROI), especially in the DTC consumer space.
- Market Research: Stay updated on platform changes, emerging trends, and algorithm updates within Meta and TikTok ad ecosystems. Monitor consumer behavior trends, seasonal shifts, and competitive landscapes to inform strategy.
Required Experience:
- 2+ years of experience managing paid campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, specifically for consumer products or eCommerce brands.
- Proven track record of scaling DTC (direct-to-consumer) brands with a focus on conversions, ROAS, and customer lifetime value
- Deep understanding of customer purchase behavior, pixel tracking, attribution, and funnel performance in a consumer products context
- Experience optimizing creative assets and messaging that convert for tangible products
- Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and Shopify
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate data into compelling strategies that align with consumer trends
- A passion for experimentation, performance marketing, and optimizing campaigns to the penny.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in digital media buying for consumer-focused industries such as gaming, lifestyle, or retail
- Demonstrated success managing high-volume ad spend ($10K+/month) while maintaining efficiency and ROI
- Prior work in a fast-paced DTC or product-focused eCommerce environment
